Christmas Party

In an effort to be good parents (it happens occasionally), we braved the BYU Christmas party this year. After an interminable wait to see Santa, (that just takes all the Christmas joy out of the season and the picture wasn't even as cute) the kids were more excited to visit COSMO. Go figures. Next time we will just start here and call it good (hopefully).

Scott was the model dad carrying all the coats and requisite balloons as well as wearing all the 'crafts' (see crown) that the kids completed. I love this picture.

Then we had a sleepover. Scott's favorite memory as a kid is falling asleep to the Christmas tree lights in his living room with his sibs. So in honor of his childhood memories, we got the sleeping bags out, made popcorn and let the kids watch a movie and sleep in the living room. The kids were in heaven and we have a new tradition.

Man we are really losing it. What happened to our parenting mantra of setting LOW EXPECTATIONS....
