We had lots of help. Grandpa was sure that we needed to remove every nail before sending wood to the dump. Virgil and Emily were really good sports taking down the yucky siding and putting in new insulation all while fighting the cherry tree.

Luc was well...you know.Others came too, Erika, my Aunt Sharon, and Ian....but most of the work was done by Steve and Scott. We put in a couple new windows and fixed the 'doggie door'

Scott is so talented that he can do two things at once! (yes he is talking on his phone while installing the window). When we were just about done, we got the promised monsoon...it rained and we were not sure we would be able to finish the job, but the sun returned.

We amazingly got quite a bit done too!!

Now we just have to paint the whole thing, put trim around the windows and the corners on the outside and trim around the windows on the inside. Next spring, Scott thinks that he is going to take off the roof and build up....he saw the playhouse I grew up with and just can't leave it. Oh well another project for another time.

What a fun thing to do for your birthday!! I remember playing in your old playhouse at Thanksgiving. Happy 20th birthday-ha,ha
Happy Birthday! What a fun playhouse - I'm so jealous. We just have the plastic "Lil Tykes" version in our backyard, which has moved with us twice. Ah well, better than nothing, right?
Have fun camping!
